A Townhouse Divided

I attended the University of Georgia. My husband attended the University of Tennessee.  As you can imagine, things around here get pretty interesting the second weekend in October.  This year, we had our friends over to watch the game with us and, of course, we needed a cake for the occasion.  This was my first time carving cake.  The helmets were from two 8" rounds.

The field was vanilla cake colored to be a red and orange swirl. It is filled and iced in buttercream. The helmets were a chocolate cake filled and iced in buttercream and covered in fondant with fondant accents.  The face masks are modeling chocolate.  Go dawgs!
